lawsuit lotto

Granted I am so good at putting my foot in my mouth that I can conclusively prove that I have a size 23 EEEEEE size mouth.  (For those of you not keen on "shoe math" that meant I can fit 2 size 10 1/2 EEE feet in it.)  I have alls been so poor at proof reading my own material that I have been accused of using Miss Takes as my editor in chief but, seriously people, could I screw up as bad as what I mention below?

From Techdirt, I first heard of this "ooopsie".  Seems that Sarah Jones, a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader/high school English teacher, hired a lawyer to sue thedirt.com for content allegedly posted about her.  She desired to sue for libel.  Now whether, the case is just or not is a seperate issue.  (If one does a Google image seach for her with safe search off, you will notice that this victory may do little to help her "image".  Although I certainly would of paid more attention in English class, I don't know how much I would have learned.)

Again, guilt or inncence matter not for the judgment was awarded because "thedirt.com" failed to respond.  One minor issue, they should have sued "thedirty.com" for that is the site the content appeared on. In the meantime, by lunchtime today, Google News would pop 165 hits for the wrong story.  Could there be 165-166 more lawsuits on this one?

Image representing Google Voice as depicted in...

I have been using Google Voice since it was Grand Central. Don't get me wrong, I still love the service, but Google, if you are actually reading, please improve the transcription.

I almost never actually listened to Grand Central messages because the transcription worked well. Now I get an email something that reads like this:

IEAM kind to all tits sunder with leather, stroked it too earlie, could do fill another sheep, with gin, then got tied dorked Tim and heeded calf an son. Da toffee had shit dat made me flow argon. I must get whore ass-shital. Nuts n big. I will joust shit you n spoon. Adding mast at the monument.. circus morphine stash. I would mount any member, any converse, shun now, any cow. Ill stalk at you hate her.

While the message sounds like this:

I am kinda, a little, under the weather, woke to early, couldn't fall asleep again, then got tired but work time and needed caffination. The coffee and shit that made me flow are gone. I must get horizontal. Nothing big, I will just hit you up soon. Fading fast at the moment... serious mean caffeine crash... I wouldn't remember any conversation now anyhow. I'll talk at you later.

Is it just me or are others having this problem as well?

Google Chrome OS Concept

A good while back I tossed a post up here about the fact that I thought Google would be releasing a browser. It ended up on the front page of lockergnome and then link swarm picked it up as well. In a matter of a few hours, my server went up in a plum of smoke. Fortunately, It was down only briefly as my host was nice enough to reset my bandwidth for the month.

At the time I was actually pretty much certain the the browser was just the first step. Others, even Scoble, thought the idea that Google would release a browser was ridiculous, yet alone an OS!... I guess the reserving of gbrowser.com was just to thwart the domain squatters or maybe a smoke screen.

Hmmm. Seems hindsight truly is the only perfect vision. Seriously though, I think it is kinda kewl that we are going to get a sneak peak at Google Chrome OS today. Least that is what this Tech Crunch Article says. Personally, I am pretty hooked on Chrome as my browser at the moment.
