Is Anyone Else having Issues with Flickr?

Before I even start, I must state that I am not a big Flickr user. Yesterday, however, I created my first Flickr Set. I wanted to share my progress on my effort to turn an old office into a flat.

I was ignorant of the 5 Meg limit for free accounts so issue number one was having to double back compress some of the images... No biggie but then things got a bit odder. (Not that odd should be taken as abnormal for the Lumpster.)

Seems that my smaller images do not want to upload either and some images got "scrambles"... Look what happened to this image. Again not a real big deal, I plan on uploading more photos tomorrow so I can just overwrite it. Now for the "odder" part.

Did you notice on the photoset page that the preview for an image of my bathroom in progress is actually an image of some cute asian child? Yesterday, there were two preview thumbs that were hijacked by asian children.

All in all thbough, I like Flickr. I want to make it clear that this post is not a gripe or a complaint but merely a head-scratch with an eyebrow raised.... Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

You can read the comment below. There is an explanation over at the Flickr blog.
