It is Friday and I am, again, ill-prepared to post links. I have been a busy remodeling boy in the real world so quick and dirty here in no particular order.
First link is an interesting thought. A YouTube Killer? Is there such a thing? Formerly, The Venice Project is now Joost. Joost is supposed to be a new TV for the Internet.
This Boing Boing Article points to a very good composition all done from the sounds created by a child destroying a cardboard box.
- GIMP is a Photshop-Like app. LifeHacker does a comparison of the two products
- There seems to be some buzz about Wikiedia Threatening Google. The article is good and one should be sure and read the comments.
- I like this from MAKE magazine; an open source MP3 Player. I wonder if the RIAA is going to try and get soldering irons banned because of it?
- This article, which also has lots of good comments, mentions SharePod
- Here are some kewl Sand Sculptures.
- Do you like Rabbit Stew? These beast serve eight.
- Did you ever misplace something? The Washington National Records Center seems to have misplaced the lunar landing tapes. Safe bet you leave that off a resume.
- Last but not least, something I get asked about often... A personal Firewall. (A good post and a good number of comments.)
Thanks for reading and surf safe!
