I am reading boing boing and it brought me to this half-baked idea from the MPAA. Ready for this?
They are going to release DRM windows media player movies at TWICE the price of a DVD. Can you believe some one got paid to think of that?
The boing boing article terms it "convoluted thinking". I must disagree. I have a hard time seeing thinking involved in this decision. Thinking involves, in the context used here, rational though. Neither the RIAA nor the MPAA have much of a history in the area of rational thought.
So hurry up and spend more money on something that you have fewer options on what you can do with it. I guess this is what the MPAA refers to as the "convenience factor". And yes this post gets both the humor and stupid tag...
