Good Day Blog Readers and Bloggers,
Unfortunately, the real world has been pulling me out of CyberSpace a bit more than usual this week. Things should taper back off to a dull roar soon.
I did want to just take a moment and let you all know about a few changes around here and a few things I found or am involved in.
A quick SP4* wars update as well. Renaming the comment script is seems to be a pretty decent fix, for now. The bots are still trying to hit it though but, of course, they get is my non-standard 404 page. Before the renaming about 20-40% of my error pages were 404. Since the renaming, it is about 80% and there are gobs and gobs of "sims" looking for that particular script... Bots have fun.. hehe
- First off and most important... One of the real world things which is taking my time is inspired by this article form one of the many newsletters I read. This is an example of good intentions having bad implications. I would encourage all of you to read this article and voice your opinion to your Representatives and Senators. I know I am writing both congress and Senate on this one.
- Geek mentioned in one of his blogs that he has been leaving comments and has noticed the increase in traffic to his site. I have been doing the same and noticed the same. So two things on that note; Thank you all for your comments and in the lower left corner, you will notice a list of the last two referrers for this site. You can get the JavaScript code at trueFresco.org
- I am trying Google AdSense, which, like so many other codes of this type, seems to have flaws. Please excuse the "ugly" on the left. It might not work until their bot crawls my site.
- I have added Boing! Boing! to my list of blog sites on the lower right. I like this site there is always a good read here. Check out what happened to this man-made ice tower in this article. I got the tip and then went "boing boing" over to the article... :P
- I know someone is going to ask me why I started placing ads on this site. Well, I do not like sites that are nothing more than ads but I do like sites that have relevant, non-annoying ads. That is exactly how I found this neat magazine.
- I found a couple of neat extensions for Firefox I think are note:
- Last Tab - changes control key behavior and takes you to the last tab you used
- Session Saver - You get your browser to open just as you closed it... Tabs and all, supposedly not even a crash will phase it
- One last thing to mention in terms of links. Lumpy likes buttons such as
and they are pretty easily available. But what if you want a more honest one such as 
or maybe a more personal one such as 
? Why you go to Adam's Site and use his button maker of course.
Well Cyber Neighbors, my time to blog is running short. I will be away for a bit and not sure how easy it will be to blog in the next week or so. I'll be in court. Don't get your hopes up ex-wife, I am not on trial. (I have been summoned for Jury Duty.)
