Code Perplextion

I do not know about all of you out there but I have this anal thing about valid XHTML code.

I do not have any clue as to why some one would write code, ask you to put it on your site and give you invalid code.

Does any one have a decent answer to this?

I have spent the past two hours fixing other peoples laziness.

Geek:

People who give out code are usually more concerned with making the code work, not with making it valid. They want promotion, and valid doesn't count in there. Also, it is often difficult to make code valid under the multitude of specifications on the net, so it is seen as better to make it all just work right.
