Today Was the Reverse of Yesterday

Today was as opposite of yesterday as it could have been. I didn't start out normal at all, instead I slept in which is something I normally never do especially two days in a row.

I then spent some time in the gnome room and updated my site. I spent nearly an hour cursing over an end tag I forgot to place in the code which is, again, something I usually do not. (I usually place both tags and insert text in between.)

I then went to a Commodore site which crrj suggested. The emulator link was broken but I did find a kool wallpaper and set it as my current desktop. This reminds me, Vorex get screenies fixed!

I then spent some time in a few XHTML books, modified the look of my blog page and did a few basic chores before I had to head to work. Work was to be a total yin to yesterday's yang.

Within minutes of my typical early arrival, Officer Lewis informed me that he found that bike lock key I lost, the Chief made a positive comment on my bloused pants and army issue boot (which I wore because I knew that I would be on the bike), a volunteer showed up to fill the empty spot I had on the schedule and Eric volunteered to go to the computer lab and deal with a few schedule tweaks for next week. A great start on the work night, I actually was pedaling away an hour earlier than I normally would.

The night was perfect for a good night of patrolling on the Trek, a nice breeze, few students to interfere with our routes, and a nice temperature I pedaled about for about an hour until the other bike escort arrived and then we pedaled away until we logged about three more hours in. Then it was time to put the bikes up and "walk about".

This went smooth as the water on a windless lake and all the gaps except one in next weeks schedule were actually filled by volunteers. I had the "till midnight" shift to run but I had so many calls to fill that the extra hour seemed like minutes. I then came home to look forward to saying "thank you Kenny" on this blog and spending a hour in the gnome room while sipping a nice stout.

Well all that is Lump's Life for today! Stay tuned for the saga tomorrow.
